The coves that Catalonia hides that you should know

Cove Tavallera, Port de la Selva
One of the coves that Catalonia hides is Cala Travella, one of the most beautiful places that Girona hides and that is specifically in the Cap de Creus Natural Park. It is one of the most beautiful coves, as it is located in a virgin natural environment with very little traffic, even in high season. To access it you have to take a 2-hour excursion along the Camí de Ronda, a perfectly signposted route of medium-low difficulty in which you can enjoy green landscapes and the sea. The final reward is a small cove of coarse sand and gravel that is worth seeing and enjoying.
Cove Aiguablava, Aiguablava
Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful coves is Aiguablava, known for its crystal clear waters and fine sand. It can be easily accessed and different services of bars, skates and showers are offered since it is a popular cove for people who spend the summer there. It is one of the most recommended coves on the Costa Brava, therefore, you have to go early to find a place as it is small and fills up quickly.
Cove Forn, Ametlla de Mar
Located in the north of Ametlla de Mar we find this small paradisiacal cove with crystal clear water and full of spectacular vegetation that makes you enjoy a vegetal environment. They offer bar service and the possibility of renting water skates and kayaks. Access to the cove is easy as it has a large parking area and stairs that lead you directly to it.
Cove Jugadora, Cadaqués
Located in Cadaqués, this wonderful cove with transparent waters is hidden, perfect for fans of snorkelling. You can enjoy its tranquility and its wonderful landscape with cliffs and vegetation. To access it you have to park in the Cap de Creus Lighthouse car park and then walk a slightly rocky and undefined path for 15 minutes.
Cove Aigua Xelida, Tamariu
Cove Aigua Xelida is located in the municipality of Palafrugell, in the north of Tamariu. Located between rocks and pine trees, this cove is characterized by its fine sand, crystal clear water and its spectacular views. It can be accessed by a 1 kilometer walk from Tamariu beach or by car, you could park near it and walk down.
Cove Buena, Perelló
A perfect place to get lost and enjoy the sea. It is a small beach with quick and comfortable access where you can park just 5 minutes from it. It is never usually full so it is perfect to enjoy the tranquility and the good weather.
