Christmas traditions in Catalonia

THE FAMOUS TIÓ OF NADAL
The tradition of the Tió de Nadal (translatable as Christmas log) is one of the best known in Catalonia. This consists of taking a log, usually with various Christmas elements that decorate it, and leaving it food and drink every night so that when Christmas Eve arrives, it “shits” gifts and sweets under a blanket after the children give it to it. have struck with a cane while singing songs dedicated to him.
